PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba - July 28 (Rafael Ferro, Abdala Press /
www.cubanet.org) - The government offices that take reservations for
camping sites have lists of known dissidents in the province to bar them
from camping sites.

Officials say illegal sailings by people seeking to leave the island
necessitate that they bar known dissidents and government opponents,
whom the political police consider prime candidates to attempt such
sailings.

Camping sites are one of the few remaining options available to citizens
for their vacations.
