Managua, Jan 28 (EFE).- The bodies of a woman and a man carrying Cuban
identification documents were found in an advanced state of
decomposition in the Nicaraguan city of Esteli, police said Monday.

The bodies were found Sunday by residents at an illegal trash dump on
Kukamonga hill, located 169 kilometers (105 miles) north of Managua, a
National Police spokesman told Efe.

A wallet was found at the site that contained identification papers for
Maikel Garcia and Yurimi Garcia, natives of Havana, Cuba, who lived in
Costa Rica.

Authorities are investigating whether the documents belonged to the
victims, the police spokesman said.

The bodies were taken to the medical examiner's office in Managua, where
specialists will try to determine the cause of death. EFE
