Jamaican medical students in Cuba fear unemployment in Jamaica

Scores of Jamaicans completing medical studies in Cuba are worrying that
they will not be able to get jobs when they return home.

More than 40 aspiring doctors now completing their final year of studies
in Cuba recently challenged Health Minister Horace Dalley about the
possibility that they will not find jobs.

They note that on their return they will be competing with interns from
other countries including Mexico and India.

But Mr. Dalley told the medical students that opportunities for
employment could be available.

He encouraged them to seek jobs in health facilities in rural Jamaica.

According to the Health Minister most people fresh out of medical
schools set their sights on working in the Corporate Area.
