Harvard to launch Cuba study program
Boston Business Journal - 10:59 AM EDT Tuesday
Harvard University will launch a study abroad program in Cuba this
spring, the Harvard Crimson reported.
The university has obtained a federal license for a joint effort with
the University of Havana, a process that took 18 months, according to
the student newspaper. Students aren't allowed to travel to Cuba unless
they attend a school that has obtained an academic exchange license from
the U.S. Treasury Department.
The license lasts for one year, and the university intends to re-apply
for a license next year.
