Dissident sentenced to 3 years for being 'danger' to society

HAVANA, March 17 (Shelyn Rojas / www.cubanet.org) - Aníbal Torres
Deslile, a member of the dissident Cuban Liberal Movement, was sentenced
last month to three years of prison for the crime of being a "danger" to
society.

Before his arrest, Torres had been the object of demonstrations outside
his home in the capital's Plaza district.

Torres is serving his sentence at the 1580 prison in Havana.
