A ‘plantado’ says No

A 'plantado' says No

As a former Cuban political prisoner, a plantado, who spent 20 years and
seven months in Castro's prisons, the recent letter by 10 Cubans
Americans promoting travel and business with Castro's Cuba is shameful,
to say the least.

According to them, we are supposed to believe what they saw in trips
where they met with the repressors of the Cuban people and take their
word for it.

Yet, the mention of respect for human rights and justice is missing.
They are asking our exile community to accept that Cubans on the island
are third-class citizens and are happy about it.

The letter is an affront to all those men and women who have sacrificed
and continue to sacrifice so much to attain Cuba's freedom. Definitely,
the letter signers are not their "fellow Cuban Americans."
