Expanded broadcasting activities in central Cuba

SANTA CLARA, Cuba - November 7 (Yoel Espinosa Medrano, Cubanacán Press /
www.cubanet.org) - The Cuban government has expanded the range of radio
and TV broadcasting activities in central Villa Clara province by adding
two transmitters and 10 correspondents.

The two transmitters are operating in Sagua la Grande and Caibarién on
the north coast of the province. A source who didn't want to be named
said there is a tower still to be erected in the township of Manicaragua.

With these facilities the government is investing to block radio and TV
broadcasts originating in the United States.
