Team Memo is at it again, as part of the continuing effort to improve
hospital conditions in Cuba. This time the job has taken a different twist.
A special volunteer crew has been working like elves in Santa's workshop
by putting together toy dolls instead of the usual medical equipment.
Once finished, the handcrafted dolls will be shipped to Cuba for
children who are undergoing chemotherapy treatment in the hospital.
Coordinator Frances Cheetham says the group is grateful to have the
opportunity to help the less fortunate.
One shipment of dolls has already been sent with another soon to follow.
Cheetham says since 2004, Memo has donated and delivered over $20
million worth of medical equipment and supplies to Cuba.
