San Juan, Puerto Rico - Thirteen Cuban immigrants were brought to
mainland Puerto Rico on Saturday after authorities discovered them on
Isla Mona in this U.S. Caribbean territory.

The six women and seven men were in good condition, Environmental
Secretary Javier Velez Arocho said. Under the ``wet foot, dry foot''
policy, they will be allowed to stay on U.S. soil and apply for
residency after one year.

The U.S. Coast Guard detected the boat and detained two men believed to
be Dominicans who served as captains, Velez said.
