Cuba buying more Russian jets

HAVANA, March 27 (UPI) -- Cuba's flagship airline will buy five more
Russian jets, with PS90A engines, the newest engines available.

Cubana de Aviacion will buy two Il-96-300s, two Tu-205-100s and a
Tu-204S, Novosti said Monday. The PS90A engine being installed on all
five jets is made by Permskiye Motory, which is based in Perm.

The Cuban carrier has already bought two Il-96-300s powered with PS90A
engines as part of a contract between Russian leasing company Ilyushin
Finance Co. and Cuba's state-owned Aviaimport SA.
